Watertight, traffic durable, new and retrofit bridge expansion joint seal for expansion gap widths 1-1/2 to 4 in (35 to 100 mm). Each stick is supplied pre-compressed smaller than the joint gap. In addition, BEJS sticks can be installed at temperatures other than mean temperature and will function properly fully throughout the thermal cycle. Each stick length is 2 m (6.56 ft) and are easily joined in the field to accommodate the total gap length. BEJS sticks are designed with dual bellows on the top weather face which allows for adequate movement (expansion or contraction) of the silicone coating. The pre-compressed foam sticks are confined by an outer board wrapper which is removed at the time of installation allowing the foam to expand as it is installed. The BEJS systems ships with joint epoxy adhesive and silicone.
